Overview of the Role:
This is a temporary full-time position for a Career Medical Officer to work in the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will gain experience in managing unwell patients and will be part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
The role involves providing effective medical services under supervision, managing unwell patients, working effectively as part of a team, participating in quality assurance activities, and equitably participating in the on-call roster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing effective medical services under supervision
- Managing unwell patients presenting to the Emergency Department
- Working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Participating in quality assurance and improvement activities
- Equitably participating in the unit on-call roster
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ambulance qualification or equivalent, currently registered with the relevant authority
- Postgraduate qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements
- Clinical experience relevant to the specialty area
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary health care team
