Personal Care Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking experienced and passionate Personal Care Assistants to join our team at Catholic Healthcare in Coffs Harbour. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and home-like environment for our residents, providing personal care and support to enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality personal care, including assistance with daily living activities, hygiene, and mobility
  • Support residents with their daily routines, including meal preparation and assistance
  • Assist with social activities and provide companionship to residents
  • Respond promptly to resident call buttons and report any changes in resident health status to the Registered Nurse
Requirements:
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Personal Care Assistant in a Residential Aged Care home
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents
