Job Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on IT leader who can balance management and technical contributions.

This role offers the chance to lead a small team while also diving into technical problem-solving, diagnosing root causes, and driving efficiency and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a small application support team by fostering collaboration and growth among team members.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of our systems to provide effective support to staff and customers.
  • Support the rollout of new business processes and software systems by ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
  • Document system functionality and support processes to build organisational knowledge and improve decision-making.
  • Monitor and support key operational tasks such as EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) to ensure timely completion and high quality results.
  • Analyse root cause issues to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
About You

You will be a self-motivated individual with a proven track record of leadership and technical expertise. Key skills include:

  • Leadership experience in IT support teams with a focus on innovation and excellence.
  • A mix of hands-on experience with modern web-based applications and legacy systems, including Windows 10/11 and SQL.
  • Strong communication skills, explaining technical issues clearly and empathetically to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A customer service mindset with ownership mentality, prioritising customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Tertiary qualification in IT or equivalent experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in technology and best practices.
Your Technical Skills
  • Essential: Experience with Windows 10/11, SQL, RESTful Web APIs, and other relevant technologies.
  • Valued: Experience with Library Management Systems (Sierra, Spydus, Libero, Symphony, Aurora, Worldshare), Networking, Jira, Confluence, Service Desk, and other tools and platforms.
