Welcome to Light & Wonder, a leading gaming company that pushes the boundaries of innovation and creativity. We are seeking a skilled Technical Artist to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge gaming technology.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Design and implement software systems to enhance game performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with engineers and artists to ensure the creation of high-quality, visually stunning game assets.
- Develop and maintain game engine assets, shaders, and real-time visual effects.
- Provide technical feedback to artists to optimize asset creation and ensure seamless integration with game engines.
- Document and promote best practices for game development and art pipeline optimization.
- Develop tools and scripts to streamline Unity workflow and improve productivity.
- Profile and debug game performance to identify areas for optimization.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements in game engines, digital content creation software, and tools.
- 1-3 years of experience in game development, preferably in a studio environment.
- Familiarity with versioning software, such as Perforce, CVS, or Alien Brain.
- Experience creating motion graphics or animations, with a portfolio of work.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in software engineering, Unity, and tool development.
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D graphics, including Photoshop, After Effects, and Blender.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of shaders, profiling, and optimization techniques.
- Ability to translate reference art into real-time graphics.
- Self-motivated and able to work on multiple projects with minimal direction.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and MS Office applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Art, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Actively cooperate and comply with Light & Wonder's WHS Policy and Program to ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others in the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with safe work practices and report any hazards or incidents.
