About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced forensic engineer to join our team as a Principal Structural Investigator. Your experience and knowledge will enable you to identify design and construction defects, collect data using photographic equipment, and prepare accurate and detailed records of your findings.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 10 years' industry experience, with a strong background in forensic engineering. You should hold a Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering and be a Member of Engineers Australia (MIEAust). A Chartered Engineer and/or Registered on the National Engineers Register (NER) would be highly regarded. Interstate accreditations, such as Registered Building Practitioner, Victoria (RPEV) and Registered Professional Engineer, Queensland (RPEQ), will also be considered.

You should have proven experience with structural design software, such as Spacegass and Structural Toolkit. Sound knowledge of the insurance industry, including the legislative framework, applicable codes, and products, is also essential. Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
