Retail Manager Position

This role oversees the daily operations of a retail department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating the Retail team, including resource planning, support, mentoring, recruitment, and development.

  • Collaborating with Workforce Planning to manage rosters and pay sign-off, using working knowledge of AWU/EBA agreement.

  • Ensuring operational compliance and training, setting service standards, and triaging day-to-day requests for store communications and tasks from the Head of Retail.

  • Escalating and managing business-critical store operational issues to relevant stakeholders.

  • Contributing to decision-making processes for product selection, pricing, promotions, and selling channels.

  • Managing team performance and career development, as well as stock feedback and inventory management, and budget management and financial reporting.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven leadership experience in large teams.

  • Previous responsibility for budgets, with proven results in wage management and sales growth.

  • Personal management experience, including performance management, training, and rostering.

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, suitable for dealing with staff, guests, and stakeholders.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced multi-site retail environment with at least 50 staff.

  • The ability to work flexible hours and at different locations.

  • Strong computer skills across standard office suite software.
