About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team at Healthscope. As a national healthcare group, we are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve discrepancies.
  • Educate staff on best practices for clinical documentation and coding.
  • Analyse trends and provide insights to improve documentation processes and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery.

Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Current Registration.
  • Certification as a Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS or CDIP) (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
