About the Role

We are seeking experienced Shotfirers and MMU operators to join our tight-knit operations team at our new site in Blackwater, QLD. This is a Drive-in Drive-Dido (DIDO) position with a 7/7 roster, and camp facilities will be provided for the duration of the roster.

The Shotfirers will assist and provide direction, supervision, and guidance to the Blast Crew in the process of loading, tying, and firing large shots. The MMU Operator will operate the MMU to pump the explosive product into pre-drilled blast holes on our customer site.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing operational blasting knowledge and advice to client blast crews and associated stakeholders;
• Shotfiring duties including magazine management, managing the loading, tying, and firing of blasts, following drill and blast designs;
• Working in tight unison with teammates to provide excellence in service to valued customers;
• Assisting with the training and mentoring of new team members;
• Acting with integrity and respect at all times.

Requirements

• Experience operating as a full shotfirer;
• Knowledge of explosive and storage regulations;
• Knowledge of blasting and blasting procedures;
• QLD Shotfirers Licence;
• Current HR licence (highly desirable);
• Hold a current QLD Explosives Security Clearance;
• An impeccable safety record and commitment toward safety.
