Electronic Monitoring and Surveillance Officer

The High Risk Offender Management Unit is responsible for the supervision of offenders residing throughout Queensland. The team comprises various work groups, including Strategic Risk and Support, Operations SEQ, Central to Far Northern, and the Electronic Monitoring and Surveillance Unit.

To be successful in this role, applicants will have experience in supervision and surveillance practices in a human services or related field. They must demonstrate ability to engage with community groups, work collaboratively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and possess exceptional interpersonal skills.

The incumbent will undertake internal pre-service training and accreditations, and ongoing professional development relevant to the role. This position involves shift work as it supports 24/7 monitoring of offenders in the community.

Offenders on parole will be supervised to ensure compliance with their orders. Electronic monitoring and surveillance activities will be conducted, working collaboratively with other teams for effective offender management.
