About the Role
The Coastal Marine Ecosystem Research Centre (CMERC) is dedicated to advancing collaborative research initiatives aimed at enhancing marine and coastal biodiversity, ecosystem functionality, and heritage. Situated in a prime location, CMERC is positioned to deliver impactful research on a global scale.
As a Senior Research Officer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to significant environmental advancements through innovative research methodologies. Collaborate with leading experts and utilize cutting-edge facilities to fill critical knowledge gaps in areas such as habitat restoration, sustainable fisheries, and coastal development.
Position Requirements
- A PhD in applied ecology, with a focus on marine systems and spatial ecology.
- Experience in both field and laboratory marine research.
- Proven track record in conducting comprehensive investigative research, including data analysis and report preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to publish in respected international peer-reviewed journals.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong capacity for teamwork and leadership in project-based environments.
