About This Opportunity

As a Welding Expert, you will play a crucial role in the upkeep and fabrication of Humes assets at our Townsville plant.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Tradesperson to join our team as a Welding Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the repair and maintenance of plant & equipment, including fabricating precast moulds, setting up moulds for production, and ensuring that moulds (Hume's assets) are repaired and maintained in accordance with drawings presented by the Production team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain plant & equipment to ensure reliability of production and care of assets
  • Fabricate precast moulds and set up moulds for production
  • Ensure Critical Quality standards are met and maintained
Requirements:
  • Trade Qualification in Welding
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in automated mechanical systems and handling equipment including hydraulic and pneumatic control
  • Previous experience in the construction industry highly regarded
  • A proactive approach to safety, hazards, and Risk Management
  • Ability to work in a close team environment
