The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate of $32.16 per hour, plus an attractive paid travel time between clients, ensuring you receive fair compensation for your hard work.

Job Description

As a Care Assistant with Ozcare, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients to live their best lives in the comfort of their own homes. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personalized care and support to clients in line with their tailored care plans
  • Assisting clients to develop skills that promote independence and enhance their quality of life
  • Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing, and other daily activities
  • Managing clients' medication requirements with precision and attention to detail
  • Collaborating with the care team to deliver holistic care that addresses every aspect of our clients' well-being

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this rewarding role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Home & Community Care
  • A current Police Screening Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), and Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • A reliable roadworthy vehicle, with current registration and comprehensive insurance
  • A current Queensland driver's licence
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
  • Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Hepatitis B, Varicella (Chicken Pox) & Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
