We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at VMCH as a Food Services Assistant. As a key member of our catering team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food services to our residents.

Your focus will be on providing high-quality catering solutions that meet the nutritional and hydration needs of our residents, as well as their special requirements and preferences.

As a Food Services Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and cooking meals to meet the dietary needs of our residents.
  • Presenting and serving food and refreshments in a clean and safe environment.
  • Ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to a high standard, taking into account individual requirements and preferences.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Food Safety Certificate Level I (HLTFSE001) or be willing to obtain one.
  • Previous experience working in a food services environment, preferably in an aged care facility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Patience, common sense, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional client service.

The successful candidate will be flexible and able to work across a range of shifts, including days, afternoons, and evenings.
