The ideal opportunity for university students who have a car

This role involves providing companionship and support to clients in their own homes, assisting them to maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Follow established policies and procedures, including participation in quality assurance activities.">
  • Perform general light cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linen, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.">
  • Prepare meals and snacks for clients according to client/family instructions. May also perform grocery shopping if prearranged with the supervisor.">
  • Provide companionship for clients, including accompanying them on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, assistance with hobbies, etc.">
  • Document services provided in the client record and use the telephony system effectively.">
  • Communicate effectively with clients, significant others, and other members of the care team, ensuring confidentiality of client information.">
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills by attending in-service training in accordance with identified needs, particularly in relation to work health & safety.">
