Operations Director: Regional Health Services

We are seeking an experienced Operations General Manager to join our team. This senior leadership position will play a key role in strengthening our systems and supporting the delivery of regional health outcomes across the Eyre Peninsula and Far West Coast of South Australia.
About the RoleThis role is responsible for leading organisational systems improvement, overseeing IT initiatives, contract management, and compliance frameworks. Additionally, you will be managing HR functions, including recruitment, performance, and staff development. You will also be supporting finance management, risk management, and reporting to Directors.
This position requires strong operations management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector. You should have expertise in HR, contract management, risk, and compliance frameworks. Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills are essential. You will also need to be able to work collaboratively, build strong networks, and manage competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead organisational systems improvement and business process development
- Oversee IT initiatives, contract management, and compliance frameworks
- Manage HR functions, including recruitment, performance, and staff development
- Support finance management, risk management, and reporting to Directors
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and ways of doing business
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities, organisations, and the ACCHO sector
- Strong operations management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Expertise in HR, contract management, risk, and compliance frameworks
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
- The ability to work collaboratively, build strong networks, and manage competing priorities
This is a 12-month contract, full-time (37.5 hours per week). The position can be based in Ceduna, Port Lincoln, Whyalla, Yalata, Oak Valley, or Adelaide. Regular regional travel will be required.
