About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Estimator and Design Draftsperson to join our team in Coopers Plains, Brisbane QLD. Reporting to the National Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing exceptional customer service and support for all issues related to laser cutting and fabrication
  • Servicing customer needs and requests professionally, thoroughly, and in a timely manner
  • Following up on customer requests, including quotations, order processing, technical, and general queries
  • Assisting production, sales, and customer service officers with technical support
Requirements
  • Experience in manufacturing with a high degree of experience in drafting for manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of fabrication processes, including laser cutting, folding, welding, and assembly processes
  • Experience with 3D design packages, preferably Inventor
  • Experience in sheet metal design
  • Ability to prepare bills of materials
  • Preparation of quotes
  • Good customer focus skills
  • Liaising with suppliers to source components
  • Good organisational and team working skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry
  • Excellent customer service/negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Willingness to learn brake press folding software
  • Understanding of quality management systems
  • A working experience of MS Office
