Electrical Tradesperson Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Tradesperson to join our maintenance depot in Rockhampton. This is an exciting opportunity to work on Locomotives within a well-organised and thriving workshop.

  • Perform complex trouble shooting, fault rectification duties, repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance procedures on rolling stock.
  • Work as part of a team with an excellent track record and timely performance.
  • Supervise, mentor and assist in the development of apprentices and locomotive maintainers.
  • Utilise and input accurate data into the Maintenance Management System.
  • Assist with the implementation and development of quality improvements to deliver quality customer service.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current electrical licence.
  • High risk licences / CPR certification.
  • A strong commitment to safety.
  • Candidates from heavy industry maintenance background highly regarded.
  • High level skills in trouble shooting, fault rectification & preventative maintenance of rolling stock.
  • Adequate level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings.
  • Solid computer literacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
