About the Role
We are seeking a casual Labourer/Dog Person to form part of our Residential construction crew located on the Gold Coast, Queensland. We offer training and future opportunities for team members aspiring for career advancement.
We require an individual who is hardworking, reliable, and enjoys working as part of a team and understands how to run a store - stock in and out, taking deliveries, etc.
As well as general labouring duties, you will be responsible for slinging loads and directing the Crane Operator, which includes:
- Selecting the correct lifting gear and inspecting it before use.
- Slinging loads using the correct trained techniques.
- Directing the Crane Operator during the movement of loads.
- General lifts.
- Ensuring all gear is checked before and after each lift to ensure lifting gear is not compromised or damaged.
- Ensuring the safety of people working around the crane and live loads.
About You
- Previous experience in a similar role, happy to do labouring when not performing dogging duties.
- Reliable and trustworthy with the ability to work with little supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong safety initiative.
- Dedicated to the role.
- General knowledge of the construction industry and environmental principles and relevant legislation/standards.
- Licensed to perform Dogging.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Construction Industry Card (White Card).
