The Teacher position at St Mary's Flexible School is a critical role that requires a dedicated and passionate educator. This will involve working collaboratively with the Head of Campus and Area Principal to achieve the school's objectives and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive learning programs for students.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and the broader community to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
Requirements
  • Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in teaching and education.
  • Ability to diagnose problems, foresee potential issues, and devise effective solutions.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Tertiary qualification in teaching (primary or secondary).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in computing software, including Microsoft Office and databases.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • High organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and support colleagues.
  • Current driver's license and a positive Working with Children Check.
Desirable Skills
  • Specialist engagement skills in areas such as adventure-based learning, sport, creative arts, music, or cultural knowledge.
