We are seeking an experienced Software Solutions Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, Australia.

About the Role:

The Software Solutions Engineer will be responsible for designing and pricing solutions that meet customer requirements while positioning Schneider Electric for success. You will work closely with sales teams, customers, and consultants to deliver technical services packages with high levels of system integration.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Main Objectives

  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop sales plans and execute strategies.
  • Act as a technical interface between sales and sales support, Line of Business, and customers, aligning with regional business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for growth in partnership with sales teams.
  • Provide higher-level expertise to sales teams when interacting with selected customers.
  • Participate in the Global Customer Projects (GCP) RAC team, attending meetings, 1-to-1 sessions with managers, and project sales updates.
  • Deliver project solutions to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Maintain solutions to ensure margin and profitability.
  • E nsure compliance with the Schneider Electric Customer Project Process.
  • Manage risk and opportunities across all projects.

About You

  • You hold a degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • You have more than 5 years' experience as an Application Engineer.
  • You possess in-depth knowledge of relevant communications technologies, such as Ethernet, serial, Modbus, IEC61850, DNP.
  • You can build relationships with technical and commercial representatives of key customers.
  • You can represent Schneider Electric and collaborate with other Schneider Electric Businesses.
  • You understand basic business and financial terms like Capex, Opex, ROI, etc.
  • You have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • You can conduct presentations for various audiences.
  • You excel at relationship management and customer focus.
