About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our Construction Management team in a full-time and permanent capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, leading, and managing on-site project activities to ensure key deliverables and targets are met.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, monitor, and report on allocated site construction activities, identifying risks and opportunities, and assessing and documenting plant, equipment, services, and materials required to complete works.
- Provide effective management and direction of allocated construction activities on-site, with accountability for resources, health and safety, environment, productivity, adherence to schedule, and quality of work.
- Implement a safe working culture at all levels, ensuring all health and safety policies, procedures, and practices are clearly communicated and followed.
- Ensure contractors and contractor activities comply with scope, quality, legislative, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with multiple and varied stakeholders, including designers, engineers, sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers.
- Provide effective leadership and management of work crews (Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical) to ensure agreed outcomes of projects are met.
- Prepare construction methodologies and estimate durations for construction activities as input to project programs and tender proposals.
- Current trade or tertiary qualification in electrical, building, or construction management.
- Broad knowledge of construction principles.
- Knowledge of electrical and/or civil construction methodologies and integration into planning and execution phases of the project.
- Knowledge and experience in subcontractor management.
- Knowledge of technical standards, construction practices, and OH&S.
- Demonstrated ability to apply construction management principles, preferably in a utility-scale renewables or substation construction environment.
- Experience supervising the construction of solar farms, BESS, or substations, with the ability to effectively manage both internal resources and sub-contractors to achieve project goals.
