Grounds Maintenance Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Grounds Maintenance team at RAAF Darwin. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining one of Australia's key Defence sites.

As a core member of the team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Operating sweeping equipment across roads, runways, and site areas
  • Assisting with labouring tasks as needed
  • Ensuring all sweeping meets high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Completing site inductions and obtaining necessary accreditations
  • Performing start-up checks, wash-downs, and routine maintenance on equipment

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current MR licence or higher
  • Minimum of 3 years truck driving experience
  • Experience driving a manual operated truck
  • Ability to work autonomously while maintaining a company driven focus

Please note that you must be an Australian citizen to work on a Defence site.

Site Inductions:

Complete site inductions and obtain necessary accreditations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Equipment Maintenance:

Perform regular start-up checks, wash-downs, and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
