Home Support Assistant Opportunity

Make a positive impact in someone's life by providing personal care services to older members of our community.

To be successful, you'll need to enjoy having variety in your day and be passionate about delivering an excellent service. You must be able to build strong relationships with clients and their families, and stay calm under pressure.

In addition, you will need:

  • A valid driver's licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
  • Experience of at least 3 months in a similar professional role, with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications.
The Job Responsibilities
  • Providing general housekeeping and making beds for our aged care clients.
  • Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors, washing, folding and ironing laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping.
  • Personal care services such as getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day, assisting clients to take their medications, assisting with mobility and therapy goals, providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia, providing social and emotional support, providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments, helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
