About the Role

A dynamic and autonomous Advanced Health Care Professional is required to provide general nursing care to patients in an Australian Defence Force (ADF) environment. The ideal candidate will have a Master of Nursing degree, with experience in a general adult acute care setting or primary health care environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in emergency medical responses, prescribing medications/vaccinations, ordering diagnostic investigations and referring patients to other healthcare professionals. They will adhere to professional standards, Defence Policies and Procedures, legislative requirements and clinical governance directives.

Work Environment

The role will be based at Enoggera Health Centre, located at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane. The centre provides a range of medical services, including primary care, surgery, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services. The working hours are typically 0700-1630 Monday – Friday, with possible weekend shifts.

About You

  • You have a strong passion for delivering high-quality patient care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You possess a high level of personal integrity and adhere to ethical principles.
  • You hold a Master of Nursing degree, with current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), General and Endorsed Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a general adult acute care setting or primary health care environment, with recent participation in Continuous Professional Development activities.
  • You hold Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification and are an Australian Citizen, eligible for Baseline Security Clearance.

The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience.
