Your Role:

We're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Juniper Hillcrest in Geraldton, a well-established facility offering 80 beds with ensuites. Our homely atmosphere provides comfort to residents, including those living with dementia who require specialized support.

As a Registered Nurse with Juniper, you'll be responsible for assessing residents' needs, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and developing and implementing resident care plans. You'll also be expected to mentor and supervise care staff, maintain up-to-date knowledge of aged care documentation requirements, and work with healthcare professionals to provide quality care to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement resident care plans that cater to individual needs and preferences
  • Address requests and concerns from families and carers in collaboration with the Residential Manager
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and progress
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to residents
  • Enhance the performance of care and service staff through effective mentoring and supervision
  • Identify training needs for clinical and care staff in consultation with the Residential Manager
  • Ensure full compliance with aged care standards and regulations

Key Requirements:

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting
  • Understanding of AN-ACC documentation and requirements
  • Strong planning and coordination skills
  • Ability to guide staff in wound and diabetes care
  • Sound knowledge of medication systems
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
