Job Description

The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) plays a pivotal part in delivering exceptional patient care within a supportive healthcare environment.

  • Provide direct care within your scope of practice and delegation, ensuring safe and personalized outcomes for patients.
  • Support patients with daily living needs, promoting independence and dignity through effective communication and mobility assistance.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation to guide ongoing care, adhering to clinical standards and protocols.
  • Assist with clinical procedures, equipment maintenance, and preparation, demonstrating a commitment to infection control and patient safety.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and WHS practices, fostering a culture of excellence and respect within the team.

As an AIN, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding patient outcomes. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Certificate III Acute Care (HLT33115) or be enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing program (second year).
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Proficiency in using information technology systems, including relevant software and applications.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills, prioritizing patient well-being and safety in challenging situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to articulate complex ideas and collaborate with colleagues.
