Job Description

We are seeking an experienced medical surgical nurse to join our team in Queensland, Australia. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in med-surgical float pool nursing with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced medical surgical setting. They must be flexible and able to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity as needed. Availability for weekdays and some weekends, including holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient-centered care that meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatments
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and prioritize interventions

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in med-surgical float pool nursing
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle patient ratios of 1:4-5
