About the Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our policy development and advocacy strategies across housing, legal, and climate justice. As Policy and Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in guiding our efforts to advance justice through legal services, housing advocacy, and systemic change.

  • Develop and implement effective policy development and advocacy strategies that address the needs of regional renters and marginalized communities.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the Collaborate for Change project, working closely with sector partners and stakeholders to drive positive change.
  • Represent the organization in government consultations, sector collaborations, and media engagements, ensuring our voice is heard and our message is conveyed effectively.
  • Manage projects from design to evaluation, leveraging community-led and evidence-informed approaches to drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders across government, philanthropy, academia, and community sectors to advance our shared goals.
Requirements
  • A deep commitment to social justice and community-led advocacy.
  • Proven experience in policy development, advocacy, and project management, with a focus on systems thinking and service design.
  • Strong understanding of legal, housing, climate, or social policy issues affecting regional and marginalized communities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and influence decision-makers.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • A commitment to supporting team members and inspiring a culture of excellence, innovation, and responsiveness.
  • Experience building relationships and working collaboratively with services, community groups, and governments to align and progress common priorities.
  • Knowledge of housing policy and the existing housing service system, including familiarity with place-based approaches and integrated service models.
