Job Title: General Medicine Registrar

Description:

You will be responsible for overseeing the care of patients within a specific medical unit at either the Royal Adelaide Hospital or The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

This will involve collaborating with junior staff, consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure high-quality patient care. You will maintain accurate records of patient care and promptly report any concerns to the consultant.

In addition, you may be required to lead the Medical Emergency Response Team, providing care to inpatients across the hospital. You will also liaise with the emergency department regarding inpatient admissions and provide effective clinical handovers during shift changes.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Medicine or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a medical practitioner
  • General registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated competency in routine and procedural ward-based skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families
