Senior Database Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Engineer to lead the development and optimization of our database solutions. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance databases that meet our business needs.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will have a strong background in database design, implementation, and optimization, with experience working with Oracle Retail and PL/SQL.
  • They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate databases with various systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and integrity.
  • This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Database Design and Implementation: Design and implement high-performance databases using Oracle Retail and PL/SQL.
  2. Database Optimization: Optimize database performance through SQL script tuning, indexing, and data structure improvements.
  3. Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate databases with various systems and applications.
  4. Data Integrity and Management: Ensure data integrity and smooth information flow between systems.
  5. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex database issues, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies.
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience as a Developer with a strong record of successful database projects.
  • Experience with Oracle Retail and PL/SQL.
  • Proficiency in database design principles and Oracle database technologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps for Database Deployment (CI/CD for Automated Deployment of Database Scripts).
  • Knowledge of Order Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with Workato, Kafka, and Automic is a plus.
