Aboriginal Health Worker Opportunity

This role presents a unique chance to contribute to the delivery of culturally sensitive mental health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.

The successful applicant will participate in the Cultural Assessment and Liaison Team, Adult Program Area, providing support and guidance to clients accessing North Ward Community Care Team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing culturally appropriate mental health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement client-centered care plans.
  • Engaging with community partners to promote cultural awareness and understanding.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, or Certificate IV in Mental Health, or Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs, or Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work.
  • Appointment and future increment progression between paypoints HWF3.1 to HWF3.5.
