About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our Data team. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of project work. You'll work closely with our solution architects and other Tech Leads to ensure application designs are cohesive and consider the application architecture holistically across the full stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on technical aspects of projects and make critical decisions regarding technology stacks, application architecture, and design patterns.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and other Tech Leads to ensure application designs are cohesive and consider the application architecture holistically across the full stack.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices, ensuring that code reviews are conducted and the codebase adheres to quality benchmarks.
  • Mentor and support team members, helping them grow their technical skills and advance their careers.
  • Work with Technical Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand project requirements and define appropriate technical solutions.
  • Ensure accuracy of estimates at a story level and drive a high-performing engineering team to deliver according to story estimates agreed.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, communicating effectively with team members, management, and external partners to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
  • Identify potential technical risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, addressing and resolving technical challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Advocate for and implement improvements in processes, tools, and practices, staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team remains competitive.
