The role of Nursing Assistant is a temporary part-time opportunity that involves providing nursing team support and undertaking nursing care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
Key Responsibilities:- Fulfill the responsibilities of this role in accordance with relevant legislation and organizational guidelines.
- Assist in the provision of nursing and midwifery team support and undertake delegated actions in line with established frameworks.
- Respond appropriately and report sudden alterations in the health status of the consumer/person to the Registered Nurse/Midwife.
- Function in accordance with legislation when undertaking activities as delegated to provide an environment and care that is safe and relevant for individuals and groups.
The incumbent of this role is expected to contribute to the health equity agenda and meet the intent of supporting the defined six actions that specifically meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
