About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a General Manager, responsible for driving the strategic growth and expansion of our Registered Training Organisation (RTO). As a visionary business leader, you will oversee all aspects of business operations, sales, and marketing, establishing and scaling the business from a zero base.

The role requires a strong strategic planning and execution capability, with exceptional leadership and team-building skills. You will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies to achieve growth objectives, managing budgets and financial performance, and ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve growth objectives
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness; implement processes and systems that support scalable growth
  • Lead the development and execution of sales strategies to secure new business
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to enhance brand visibility and market reach
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team that has a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Evaluate and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and standards

Experience and Skills:

We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 5-7 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in education or a related industry. Ideally, you should have experience as a General Manager or similar senior leadership in an RTO or other educational business. Proven track record in both individual selling as well as managing a sales team is essential.

A strong background in business management, strategic planning, and team leadership is required, along with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities. Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial performance are also crucial.
