**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Basketball Coach to join our team, responsible for delivering the Secondary School Sports Program for the 2025-2026 season through basketball coaching.

The role involves working with students in a school setting, promoting physical activity, and developing their skills in basketball. You will need to be available for midweek training and competition games on Saturdays.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver high-quality basketball coaching sessions to students, focusing on skill development and teamwork.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sport & PDHPE departments to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to the Independent Sporting Association Code of Conduct.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and participation in basketball.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A minimum Club Coach accreditation in basketball or relevant experience in youth basketball.
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in coaching and mentoring young athletes.
  • An ability to model the St Andrew's Cathedral School values and behaviours.
  • A current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification (or be prepared to obtain these).
