About the Role:

Penske Australia is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Chipping Norton. As a Field Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing premium diesel engines and heavy vehicles. You will work on a variety of brands, including Western Star, MAN, Dennis Eagle, mtu, Detroit, and Allison, with OEM training and the ability to build both your skills and career.

About You:

  • You hold a Trade qualification Certificate III in heavy vehicles.
  • You have a robust background in maintenance, service, and repair of heavy vehicles and trucks.
  • You possess a current HR licence and clean driving record.
  • You are comfortable working autonomously in a field service vehicle.
  • Dennis Eagle or Cummins experience is highly regarded.
  • You exhibit a sound technical knowledge and experience with American or European trucks – Volvo, Mack Scania, or Kenworth.
  • Experience in Western Star, MAN Trucks & Bus, Dennis Eagle, mtu, Detroit, and Allison Transmission products would be highly advantageous.
  • You are easily able to work independently, but just as happy working in a team.
  • You have effective communication and teamwork skills, and actively promote Penske's values and purpose.
  • Experience in Electronic control systems would be favourable.
  • You have an eye for detail with high-quality field service and job reports.
  • You are flexible to respond to reasonable field mobilisations, planned activities, and short notice mobilisations.
