About This Role:

As a Rural Business Development Specialist, you will play a key part in driving the growth of local businesses and developing strong relationships with customers. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying new opportunities and providing personalized banking solutions to meet their needs.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of customers' goals and deliver win-win solutions while maintaining awareness of business objectives
  • Work proactively within the community to identify new business prospects and opportunities to attract new customers
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement localized engagement plans to achieve successful outcomes for customers and businesses
  • Drive profitable growth by meeting sales targets, converting referrals, and achieving results
  • Mentor and grow the skills of fellow colleagues across the region

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A tertiary qualification in rural business, finance, or a related discipline
  • The ability to undertake travel and possession of a current driver's license
  • Demonstrated expertise in rural lending and credit risk principles
  • Financial analysis skills, including the ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
  • Up-to-date knowledge of rural market conditions, business products, cash flows, and markets
