Technology and Media Professionals sought for Hybrid Roles

Job Description

We are looking for talented professionals to join our Technology, Media & Telecommunications team in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.

You will work with lawyers across our national offices, collaborating with Partners and the wider team to maintain a strong presence in the Australian market.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Telecommunications and data centres - projects, regulatory, M&A transactions
  • Data & AI - governance, regulatory advice, compliance, investments
  • Cyber - incident response, law enforcement engagement, regulatory advice
  • Outsourcing - technology and business process outsourcing
  • Corporate - business separations, systems integrations, carve outs
  • Digital transformation projects
  • Startups and Innovation - advisory, transactions, capital raises
  • Media - regulatory matters, broadcasting rights
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a TMT team within a top-tier law firm, focusing on TMT work
  • Knowledge of Australian privacy, data protection, and cyber laws
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating IT/telecommunications contracts, preferably in a common law jurisdiction
  • Able to handle both small and large matters effectively
