We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Spatial Expert to lead complex survey and spatial projects.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering technically advanced solutions across the built environment while mentoring junior staff and driving innovation in how spatial data is captured, processed, and delivered.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Project Execution – Lead survey projects from data acquisition through to processing and delivery ensuring technical accuracy, data quality, and alignment with client needs.
  • Technical Expertise – Manage and extract value from high-density point clouds, develop 3D models, and integrate deliverables into BIM and spatial workflows.
  • Workflow Leadership – Champion best practices in data capture, QA, and processing while supporting the evolution of tools, methods, and technology platforms.
  • Client Focus – Work alongside Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure solutions are commercially sound, technically excellent, and tailored to client objectives.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship – Contribute to team capability through training, guidance, and collaboration with surveyors, digital engineers, and junior spatial staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering spatial and 3D survey projects within complex built environments.
  • Advanced technical knowledge in point cloud capture, processing, and modeling using a variety of hardware and software applications.
  • Experience delivering projects in line with government or local authority specifications.
  • A collaborative approach to working with a larger team and a variety of stakeholders.
  • A leadership mindset focused on quality outcomes, continuous learning, and supporting team growth.
  • Tertiary qualifications in surveying, spatial science, or a related field.
