Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our Early Childhood Education faculty as a lecturer (Trimester 2 2025 start). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering classes and providing an engaging learning experience to our students.

The delivery campus is located in the heart of Adelaide's CBD, within walking distance of the Adelaide railway station. You will report to the Head of School and have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our students.

  • Develop and deliver high-quality courses within your discipline area using various methodologies, including face-to-face and online learning
  • Establish a supportive learning environment, promote student engagement, and address student concerns in a timely manner
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure seamless subject content delivery
  • Engage in regular subject forums and discussions
  • Evaluate student assessments against set standards and deadlines
  • Contribute to moderation and benchmarking activities as needed
  • Attend faculty meetings and student consultations as required
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and scholarship as required

Required Qualifications and Experience:

To be eligible for this position, you must hold a PhD or a master's qualification in a directly related field of study (Early Childhood Education). A minimum of 2 years and preferably 5 years or more of practicing experience in a directly related field of study is also required. Teaching or tutoring experience is highly valued.

You should have a deep understanding of higher education requirements and industry standards, as well as knowledge of contemporary developments in your specific discipline or field. Additionally, you should be committed to ongoing professional development, scholarship, research, or knowledge of contemporary teaching, learning, and assessment relevant to your discipline, role, modes of delivery, and the specific needs of student cohorts.

A genuine passion for education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to undergo a National Crime check (if required) are essential.
