Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Tender Engineer / Pre-Contracts Engineer to lead and develop tender strategies for remedial projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance. The successful candidate will work on diverse remedial projects focused on sustainability, providing unique and technically rewarding tender opportunities.
Main Responsibilities:- Assess tender documentation to determine project scope, size, and key risks.
- Lead pricing, cost estimation, and collaborate with engineering and construction teams.
- Develop methodologies, draft construction programs, and compile tender documentation.
- Prepare RFIs, scope gap analyses, RFQs for subcontractors, and liaise with clients during tender phases.
- Attend pre-award site meetings and assist the Bid Manager with Go/No-Go decisions and presentations.
- Handover successful bids to delivery teams and maintain cost and productivity databases.
- Apply understanding of legal and contractual obligations to proposals.
- 5–10 years' experience in operations and pre-contracts/tendering, preferably on the contractor side.
- Ability to create project programs and develop innovative methodologies.
- Understanding of public and private tender requirements.
- Remedial or general civil engineering experience is highly desirable.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
- Strong financial acumen and attention to detail.
