Job Summary

As a Research Analyst, you will be part of our Operations team and report directly to the regional team leader. You will work with Senior Research Analysts and Editors to help on projects and their professional development. Your role will involve conducting research on internet and web-based media databases, and writing high-quality reports on companies and/or individuals using a combination of publicly-available and proprietary sources.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct research on internet or web-based media databases to gather relevant information.
  2. Produce high-quality reports involving research and analysis in different languages, with a focus on English and Arabic.
  3. Perform first-level quality control through peer review to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  4. Carry out watchlist database screening on the subjects of due diligence checks.
  5. Provide input on the report writing process to improve quality and efficiency.
  6. Engage with the Research team to seek feedback, obtain updates, and manage delivery expectations.
  7. Stay knowledgeable of regional and industry trends.
  8. Partner with other teams to ensure the integrity of key products.
  9. Demonstrate a hands-on approach to work and be willing to participate in ad-hoc projects.
Requirements
  1. Tertiary level degree in Law, Political Science, International Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in due diligence, professional services, or similar report generation.
  3. Fluent in English and Arabic, with proficiency in other languages a strong plus.
  4. Ability to oversee and support other research analysts and monitor the work of less experienced colleagues.
  5. Leadership and management skills to oversee and manage projects effectively.
  6. Excellent research skills across all media, with a significant understanding of risk areas and compliance-related items.
  7. Ability to handle ad-hoc research into new areas and bespoke research.
  8. Knowledge of office products, internet searches, and social media.
  9. Timeliness: deliver reports on time and consistently.
  10. Dedication and commitment to continual learning.
  11. Client-focused approach.
  12. Highest levels of integrity and displays this regularly.
