About the Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adherence to all HS&E policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Maintenance of high standards in compliance with KPIs, ensuring timely completion of pre-starts, SWICs, SLIs, and FRMs
  • Provision of clean drill core samples marked according to requirements and delivered promptly
  • Conducting weekly inspections on drill rigs to optimize safety and productivity
  • Providing training, mentoring, and assessments to employees to promote their growth and development
  • Effective management of drill rig breakdowns and setup
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in underground diamond drilling operations is mandatory
  • Certification in Drill Operations (I, II, III, and IV) is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to manage underground diamond drill contracts with productivities aligned with industry benchmarks
  • Experience in operating LM75, LM90, and mobile carrier-mounted diamond drill rigs
  • Understanding and knowledge of ore body definition, grade control, deep hole, and directional drilling
  • Comprehensive understanding of mine and drill plans, with accurate reporting of physical data
  • National Police Clearance (within 6 months) and a valid Driver's License are essential
