We are seeking a talented individual to fill a prestigious two-year Creative Fellowship position at one of Western Australia's five universities. This exciting opportunity will enable you to conduct paradigm-shifting creative practice and research in a vibrant and inspiring research environment.

As a Creative Fellow, you will be part of an elite group of exceptional researchers and practitioners from around the world. You will have access to world-leading researchers, mentoring, connections with Australia's learned academies, and more through our unique 'researcher's journey' program.

Our fellowships provide a stipend and subsidised accommodation at Forrest Hall in a luxury self-contained studio apartment. You will also receive a research allowance of up to $12,000 for approved research-related expenses, overseas research, and conference travel.

The fellowship is open to candidates of any nationality who possess an outstanding academic track record, are a creative thinker, excellent communicator, and wish to contribute to this innovative research project.

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • A track record of proven academic excellence, such as a PhD or first class Honours (or equivalent)
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree (with Honours) within the past eight years (or equivalent qualification)
  • Completion of a research component in an Honours, Masters or PhD program within a creative arts/performing arts discipline, or proven practitioner research experience and achievements
  • A minimum of three years professional experience in the creative arts/performing arts sector (cumulative across multiple contracts/appointments)

The fellowship can be held at any of the five universities in Western Australia: University of Western Australia, Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, University of Notre Dame Australia (Fremantle Campus), or another institution of your choice.
