
Enhancing Student Experience Coordinator

The Residential Life Manager is a key role in enhancing the student residential experience at our campus. As a primary point of contact for welfare-related matters, this position plays a vital part in fostering a safe, inclusive, and vibrant community that supports student wellbeing, academic success, and personal development.
This live-on-campus position is responsible for creating a dynamic environment that promotes student engagement, health, and wellbeing. Key responsibilities include providing strategic advice, leading team recruitment and training, designing residential life programs, responding to critical incidents, and overseeing student conduct processes.
Some of the key areas of focus for this role include:
- Strategic Advice: Providing informed guidance on residential life, student wellbeing, and incident trends to ensure a proactive approach to student support.
- Team Leadership: Recruiting, selecting, training, and supervising Resident Assistants and Resident Supervisors to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Program Design: Creating comprehensive residential life programs that promote belonging, academic support, health and wellbeing, personal development, and leadership among students.
- Critical Incident Response: Acting as first responder and coordinator during critical incidents, ensuring appropriate support and referral pathways for students.
For this role, we are seeking an individual with a strong background in education, psychology, social work, youth work, community development, or related fields. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in pastoral care, residential, student support, or youth-focused environments.
Required qualifications include:
- Tertiary qualifications in education, psychology, social work, youth work, community development, or related field.
- Significant experience working in pastoral care, residential, student support, or youth-focused environment.
- Demonstrated ability to respond calmly in high-pressure situations, including incidents involving student safety and wellbeing.
- Experience managing teams, particularly student leaders or volunteers.
- Proven ability to design and implement programs supporting engagement, development, and wellbeing.
