The Job Overview

You will be responsible for analysing complaints, preparing investigation plans, and gathering evidence from relevant sources to identify potential offences or instances of non-compliance under applicable laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analytical Skills: Conduct in-depth analysis of information received to identify areas of concern and develop effective investigation strategies.
  • Evidence Collection: Gather and document evidence from various sources, using appropriate means to ensure its integrity and admissibility in court.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare high-quality, factual written material in the form of letters, briefing notes, and investigation reports, clearly communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed-term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

In addition to the above requirements, a strong understanding of legislation administered by Consumer Protection and excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.
