At Gilroy Catholic College in Castle Hill, we are seeking a highly skilled TAS teacher to join our community on a temporary full-time basis from January 2025 to August 2025.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Stage 5 Design and Technology, as well as other subjects as required. They must have extensive knowledge of the subject area, including contemporary and authoritative professional understanding of the factors that influence learning and skill development.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent pedagogical skills, including the ability to use a range of differentiated assessment approaches and stimulating resources to enhance student learning outcomes. They will also be able to build effective relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, and manage complex interactions within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Stage 5 Design and Technology, and other subjects as required
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate rigorous and inclusive learning programs
  • Use effective pedagogies and a range of differentiated assessment approaches
  • Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents

Requirements:

  • Mandatory Stage 4 Technology qualification
  • Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance
  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also provide opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.
