Expert Hydrologist and Hydraulic Engineer Required

A challenging role has arisen for a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead our team in Melbourne.
- Provide technical guidance and assist with non-Newtonian dam break assessments.
- Conduct rainfall, flow, and flood assessments including modeling, mapping, flood mitigation design, and risk assessments.
- Lead water management studies and investigations from pre-feasibility through detailed design and operation.
- Develop group capability in stormwater management and flood studies for mining contexts.
- Create hydrological, hydraulic, and probabilistic water balance models to assess surface water/runoff flows, peak flows, and flood risk.
- Design hydraulic and other water management structures for mine sites.
- Support business development, client relationships, and proposal writing.
- Project manage including project scoping, budget control, planning, and staff coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field with a strong focus on hydrology.
- Masters (MSc) degree in hydrology or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Proficiency in GIS applications, hydraulic, flood modeling software, and water balance modeling software.
- EA Chartered Engineer or close to achieving.
- Understanding of non-Newtonian flow conditions and specific skills for tailings storage facility dam break assessments.
- Resourceful approach to work with initiative and decision-making skills.
- Excellent technical writing skills with experience in proposal writing and reporting.
