The Business Analyst role will be responsible for delivering high-quality business analysis activities to support the delivery of client-specific projects for the MUFG Retirement Solutions business. This role will involve all aspects of project delivery, including requirements gathering and documentation, system test case planning, preparation, and execution, as well as business change management activities.
This is a permanent full-time role to be based in Perth office.
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities- Work alongside the Project Manager and other business analysts to deliver high-quality, on-budget, and on-time projects for GESB.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of revenue-generating work for MUFG Retirement Solutions business.
- Undertake root cause analysis on identified business/system problems and identify pragmatic solutions for rectification.
- Facilitate discussions at workshops to help understand stakeholder needs.
- Work closely with business and client stakeholders to investigate, define, and document business requirements within specified timeframes.
- Review legislation, initiative briefs, or other supporting material and work with relevant teams to understand the impacts to the MUFG Retirement Solutions business.
- Model, analyze, and document business process flows.
- Work with internal technical teams and external vendors to create system solutions that are 'fit for purpose.'
- Prepare test plans/test cases and complete system testing against agreed business requirements.
- Prepare training and handover material, with the ability to present changes to business and support teams.
- Provide post-implementation warranty support to minimize disruption to business users.
- Assist/support business users with user acceptance testing.
- Work proactively with peers and contribute to the identification and implementation of ongoing process improvements.
- Display role model behaviors with the ability to actively collaborate with others.
- Ability to apply standard change and business analyst methodologies to ensure that business and IT change impacts are effectively managed. Includes ability to identify, assess, and apply appropriate project governance that is applicable to this role.
- Adherence to risk management procedures and policies at MUFG Retirement Solutions.
- Awareness of RAID management, with the ability to identify and escalate as appropriate to project manager.
The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter who has:
- 3 years of business analysis and project delivery experience, including supporting and implementing system/process enhancements.
- Demonstrated awareness of Business Analysis concepts and techniques, including BABOK.
- Understanding of basic project methodologies, including AGILE.
- Experience in the Finance/Superannuation industry.
- Ability to problem-solve and interpret 'ambiguous' requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills, presentation skills, and oral and written communication skills.
- SQL skills and experience (desired but not essential).
- Experienced with Microsoft suite of tools and competent user of Service Now, Jira, and SharePoint.
- Ability to work well under pressure and be self-driven.
