Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced State Sales Manager to lead our retail management team in Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania. As a key senior management role, this position is responsible for maximizing sales and driving effective retail operations across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Store Visits and Performance Enhancement

Conduct regular store visits to assess team performance, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance sales and customer service skills.

Sales and Budget Management

Meet budget targets for allocated states, maximizing sales and managing wages to ensure optimal business performance.

Team Development and Coaching

Educate Regional Sales and Store Management teams on selling techniques and skills improvement, identifying skill gaps and implementing coaching and training plans to enhance performance.

Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation

Ensure store presentation and service standards meet company expectations, maintaining a high level of visual merchandising and store appearance.

Safety and Compliance

Ensure all company policies are adhered to in the area of safety within the state, maintaining a safe working environment for employees and customers.

Leadership and Communication

Actively lead and communicate clearly with the Regional Sales Management team and Sales Merchandise Coordinator to achieve goals and carry out initiatives.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a multi-site environment
  • Extensive retail management experience in a multi-site retailer
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Highly motivated and results-focused
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Proven experience in the successful management and development of people
  • Developed PC skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Tertiary qualifications in a retail or business discipline (desirable)
